Stuctured Blogging and SIOC

Hi guys -

Uldis (or anyone else interested!) - maybe can I ask you to send a quick
e-mail to Raju detailing SIOC open source work to date / future? They
are in the political participation domain.

Sorry Raju, I'll get back to you myself when back from leave...

Original message from the Structured Blogging list below.

Thanks a million -

John.

Hi John,

I read the article "Towards Semantically-interlinked Online Communities".
Very interesting. That's totally the thing we want to do for enabling
distributed online discussion in the area of political participation. Next
week we have a meeting with some experts to discuss the technical concept
for such a system. If you are doing any open source development of the code
we could think about joining forces with you. Some other people in the
mailing list would be interested in that, too.

Best regards,
Raju

Stuctured Blogging and SIOC

Hi, Raju!

Thanks for interest in SIOC.

Distributed online discussions and your particular application towards
political participation is a very interesting area and, as you
mentioned, SIOC fits in nicely.

Please find below the answer about SIOC and open source.

Speaking about your project - is there some information online where
we could learn more about the project and plans to implement it?

> Uldis (or anyone else interested!) - maybe can I ask you to send a quick

It would be good to join our forces.
SIOC is an open source project:

- SIOC vocabulary / specification is based on open standards and is
itself an open standard, built and maintained by the community.
CC-licensed.

- SIOC tools are all open source (*).

(*) To be exact: the tools are open source, but not all of them
include an explicit license. We may need to add license information
where missing.

If you have more questions, please do not hesitate and ask. :)

Best,
Uldis
